A poem I wrote for an Islamic event and ended up laying it down on a track. Hope you like it inshaAllah. Like I always do though, I didn't focus much on the mixing aspect but I'm still trying to improve that bad habit.

The legislation of men
To be legislated by Him
Not legislated by whims or legislated by things
I am tangents different languages generated within
The separation of kin
The elevation of skin
The levitation of ink
For generations who think
The meditation that sinks
i.e. dying out, hear me, crying out
For my final ressurection, I have been waiting patiently
Too much power now think about Who created me
I am the movement of the tongue
The beauty of the elders, the indifference of the young
The vision when it comes
The revelation recitation sent down by the one
With the speed of a bullet more powerful than a gun
The result of a thought, that influences the heart
And in turn the mind an unbiased art
Manipulated or utilised the drive that sparks
Off ignition to decision that we are
The sharpness of a blade
The essence of a rose
The darkness of the grave
The questions that you pose
The hardship of a slave
Singing blessings in a code
The passion of a poet
And reactions in a moment
As he masters what he's spoken
Through the masses in an ocean of air
The potency is clear
While his quotes sit on boats made of attention and stares
I am there by his side

Truthful in my nature so action is my reflection
And if there's a contradiction then I have been misdirected
I present combined thoughts like a verbal intervention
The pious with a purpose and the vermin with a vengeance
More diverse than white light splitting through a glass prism
Divisions are vividly shown through class systems
Locations and mapped rhythm of the mouth
From the east to the west to the north to the south
From the 3rd world slums to a first world house
I have travelled and unravelled
Much more than your mind could handle
I am scandal and a flame burning both ends of the candle
An example of a pain yearning only for the answers
The comforter of the ill and the awareness of the cancer
