now I've practicing these days and quitted doin' tracks for a while...my last song shunno shunnota got lotta downloads and views...I'm happy with it for now...but since that song I improved even a lot more...you'll see my next track...now the thing is after the exams I'll be upgrading my gear to have better quality vocals...then I'll start recording some new shit again...and I wanna ride some beat from you...been practicing with bangla rap specially and from what I've got I improved a lot and ya guys will be surprised from my next stuffs...

quality: now first thing first, I am going to take ALL BLAME for poor quality. yes, if I spent an hour and use real headphones instead of ipod ones lol..this would have sounded better. Second, I'm using FL Studio: it's quality SUCKS. You can just do so much. I can go in details why/how this digital interface is so sucky, but hey it's a compromise for being able to make beats so fast and without a keyboard! lol (yeah yeah long story, i dont have a keyboard lol).

umm..i dont follow ur logic. yes, of course...i mean well if u r producing at a studio level..quality is bound to be good. nowadays, the analog and digital instruments/sound cards come with enough parameters to make anyone expert mixers by just choosing presets lol. but i dont have any comments on what beat 'sells' lol. look at the hiphop chart anytime..and see what kind of songs make it to top..aka which beat sells..."pretty boy swag", "fly like g6", "teach me how to dougie"...i'm recalling these names out of my head..but yeah..anyway this can be a thousand post topic...and you know it very well gocta that I WILL end up talking abt it for thousand posts if we don't stop now lol.

shieeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttt!!!!I think I finally find out a bit what's wrong with the quality...do you actually remember that beat you finished in which I was supposed to rap??...it was at pretty high Kbps so I used this nice lil' plugin that actually splits up the various frequencies and shit...it's pretty amazing...if the mp3 file is of a good quality then that small little plug in can actually simulate the various tracks split them up and show the frequencies are put and shit...hmh...of course the simulation won't be the same as the original but it get pretty close to it...I guess that the main problem in your mix is Equalizing...it sounds muddy couse you ain't using the equalizing shit right...it's just guess to be frank...I tried to hear that shit with monitors..but it just a guess...you can try to search more about equalizing...it could help who knows?let me know if I was right when you get to work on music...

i used to knew a lot abt mixing and equalizing..but now i even forgot which one u r supposed to do..i know it varies btw beats and vocals vs. a full sound..but i really lost it lol. it was common sense to me..but yeah when i get back, i'll take a look into it and see my 'mixing' parameters.

as u know..fl studio quality is pretty crappy...so i prolly hv so many layers on the mixer...coz first the sound gotta improve..and then if u equalize it first and compress using multi band, u've opportunities to mess with the individual sound qualities..so basically...i've to figure out the INDIVIDUAL mixing i did to the sounds..which is effing tedious..and then see how to mix the master channel..which...shd be simple..but mostly like has too many stuff since i'm too lazy to make individual mixing..ok i'll stop talking i'll soon lose myself if i'm talking like this. lol

hmh...often overdoing stuff can mess up the quality bro...by the way...I suggest you to switch to reason...that's wayyy better then FL studio....and wayy complicated too...I din' used them personally but I got this friend of mine from Italy...he's one the most regarded beatmaker up in there...he uses reason to...of course note that he use a lotta outboard gear...but he olso says that just to give more impressive impression of his business couse many of that stuff could be done by software...by the way try this reason thing... it could help...since you don't even remember how to mix...well start over with a new dope software...just an opinion...

lol u've no idea dude how many times how many ppl told me in person and on net to switch to Reason...I downloaded reason twice..but then cud never use it..coz it requires a midi keyboard..and i dont have a midi keyboard lol. long story..i can afford the best one if i want..but dad is strict as hell..so just do wat i can without a piano..thus i'm with FL studio for way too long than i shd be.

Each to his own, all of them are powerful. U'll be surprised what some ppl are doing with the most simplest of software.

yeah i know wat u mean..but at the end of the day...if u listen to say a Reason beat vs. FL beat..ur ears will pick the stark difference right away. Like, u know how u can include Reason as a VSTI into FL Studio? u can do that and play the same melody (with the exact same mixing parameters)...no matter how well u thought u mixed it in FL...jst playing it via Reason sounds much richer. idk the specific of why..but i'm sure u've TONS more useful knowledge abt these than me lol.

but again, I'd admit that the level of mixing that i do for beats..they're not the maximum quality that's possible with FL Studio..i often get frustrated or lazy to use rich plug-ins (for both mixing and individual instruments).
