Rock and Hip Hop have collabed for years, i listen to everything, cuz tahts what true hip hop is, to be Yourself, i get ideas for concepts and flows off of 60'7 70's techno songs, or rock songs, i like blues, and that death metal shit is pretty crazy, i dont listen to it liek that, but ive been known to put on some slipknot in my day, i just love Music, any shape size or form of it

heard miss murder by AFI...but the whole song is good, until the guy
starts to screech on the mic once the beat cuts into half
time...bahwell...even though i don't like it..i appreciate its art
value...in addition...i listen to ambience...lol...i even listen to
different kinds of rap...i got french rap on me...italian

on the real my dude i use to hate rock use to think it was nothing but yelling but then i realized its sort of like rap mixed with a monolgoue, when rappers say they gonna kill some one they jus say it, no emotion. rock says it then they release that adrenaline within it showin tha anger they feel. dependin on the rock u hear, its actually type hot. to me tha future is rap rock which would sort of like jay and linkin park mix album thing.

gotta remember jus cause its ruff dont mean its bad. not all things have to rhyme. people have this misconception tht good music must rhyme and have a simple pattern but poetry and rock would show u tht its all about creativity and entertaainment

For one thing there are different types of rock, and not all of them have 'screaming lyrics'. That's actually more geared towards the Heavy Metal genre (which is an entirely different genre fyi). But because there is a common misconception here, I'm here to save the day! NOT... All ya'll will still be just as ignorant even if I sit here and go through the A to Z's bout rock-and-muthafukin-roll!

Excuse my language, but what about rock do people not get? I know hip-hop and rap is mostly beat based, maybe therein lies the difference, but is there much of a difference? I have no friggin idea. Personally, I can listen to almost anything. But I am a sucker for acoustics, its just the kind of thing that makes me wanna scream 'come eff me u finger strummin genius!' haha (too much info? I'm just kidding!)

But seriously, why not like rock? Linear music tastes I don't get, that is always like a WHAT! to me. Meh, I'm done.

This question doesn't really make sense. Why does someone listen to Hip Hop? After all it is some arse who just talks really fast and does'nt necessarily have a good voice, nor are they skilled with Instruments or anything.
Its a matter of opinion man. People like what they like and people will always like different things.

I for one love hip hop, but i also to a certain degree listen to Death Metal in the form of Trivium, Children of Bodon and Bullet For my Valenting. Some of that is awe-inspiring!!

Well wat shud i say...i myslf is a bassist n Vocalist of a Rock/Metal band for the past 4 years!! :e :e well yea i scream, i growl, i sing n um also deeply into RnB n Hip Hop for mo thn 2 years !!! so donno wat shud i actually say,,,loves both the genre((but definitely got some greater attraction towards rnb stuufs))....
